FAQ
-
Do we need to book?
Yes. Bookings are essential, so we have time to get the horses ready for you. Depending where the horses are grazing on the farm, it can take considerable time to bring them in. It is advisable to book a few days before you intend to trek as bookings fill quickly.
-
I have never ridden a horse before, can I book a trek?
Absolutely, our treks are designed for all levels including beginners. Our guides are great at looking after nervous riders and experienced riders.
-
Do you still ride in the rain?
We ride in (light) rain and shine. If you have booked a trek and the rain is torrential prior to your trek, we will phone and offer you another time or a refund. If it starts raining on your trek, we will continue.
-
Why the 100kg weight limit?
It is advisable that horses do not carry more than 20% of their body weight. The majority of our horses are approximately 500kg, which equates to being able to carry 100kg maximum. The welfare and comfort of our horses is very important to us.
If members of your group are over 100kg, they are welcome to meet the horses and we can show them areas on the farm that they can see friends/family riding.
-
What is your refund policy?
Our cancellation policy requires 24 hours notice prior to your booked ride to receive a refund.
-
Can I book a private group?
Absolutely, please call or email to discuss your requirements. We have a minimum of 2 riders per booking.
